Rose decided to go back home, after sending off Harry and thanking him for his support they left the hotel.
She fell asleep next to Arthur on the plane, he woke her up when it landed.
"Butterfly we are home," he said.
They soon arrived home where she runs inside to see her son. He was playing in the living room with one of the maids.
"Arthur?" she called.
He stopped play g and turned around to see his mother, he ran into her open arms with a smile.
"Moom.." he cried as his little hands held her neck in a hug.
Rose missed him so much that she found herself crying with him.
"Shhh..mommy is back," she said as she carried him in her hands.
Arthur followed them into the living room and watched his son take all the attention away from them.
"He still has a bigger part than me in your heart " he complained.
Rose gave Arthur a look and laughed, "Why do you always bring that up. He's still a baby so I should love him more than you right now " She said.
Arthur frowned as he watched her kiss their son's face multiple times. Who in return giggled with each kiss making Arthur more jealous.
Dorothy bought them snacks and welcomed her back home.
Having heard their conversation she commented, "You're a big man now to fight with your little son. You had her all to your self before he was born so bare until he's old enough "
Arthur looked at her then back at Rose and his son, he finally got up and left without another word.
Rose spent the rest of the day with her son, playing then feeding him. She bathed him and soon he was off to sleep in her arms.
He slept so peacefully that she didn't want to let him go from her hands. She later did and then went back downstairs.
Dorothy was busy in the kitchen preparing dinner, Rose helped as she did.
Talking about her trip, she told Dorothy about all her experiences there. About how she was so nervous but was able to win even the crazy bitch Yvette.
"Yvette once chased around Arthur before he came back here, he had started that company so that it could help open new windows for the bigger company. She was the first contestant to win and that gave her a chance to meet him " Dorothy said.
Rose nodded as she listened to the story, surprised that Arthur never told her about it.
"And I can say she was all over him after they met, but since Arthur was still the bad guy he was, he played around with her but nothing happened. He left after the company was successful and came back home "
"How did you get to know all of this?" Rose asked.
"He always took me with him on a trip to cook and take care of him. But that stopped after you came, saving me from seeing and hearing all his nonsense with women on trips he took " Dorothy laughed.
"He sure was a lady's man " Rose quietly said.
Dinner was almost ready as they finished with the last dish.
Rose washed her hands and got the table ready for dinner as Dorothy got the dishes ready to be served.
"Why did you hesitate to come back?" Dorothy asked her.
Surprised by the question Rose choked on the water she was drinking.
Coughing she asked what Dorothy meant by her question.
"I observed you after waking up from the coma. You seemed fine at first but something was bothering you and it looked like you wanted to run away from all of this "
Rose's line of sight moved to her glass she was holding in her hands and didn't say anything. Having gone through a lot she did want to run off.
"I admit I thought about it multiple times after I woke up, ever since I met him it was always attack after the other but I stayed. And in the end almost lost my life. But even after thinking about all that I choose to stay " she said.
"But then something happened again?"
Rose nodded, " The trip happened it gave me a good excuse to go away from it all. We had a good time but I still had something telling me it wasn't going to last. The contest was my way of trying to let go but after he left me there alone I felt all this absence I didn't want to feel again "
Dorothy was now holding her hand as she listened to her troubles.
"I felt so alone without any of them next to me. When I saw him walk to the stage I realized my home was with him all along ".
She had not realized that she was crying until Dorothy dried her tears.
"I know it has been hard and I know he sometimes regrets it too. But he loves you so much that he can do the impossible for you " she told Rose.
She knew Dorothy was right about Arthur. He had shown it multiple times for her. She smiled when she thought about him.
Dorothy leaned forward and whispered, " Better whip those tears away, your husband is back " and after which she walked away.
Arthur had just returned from work, he saw Dorothy and Rose in the kitchen talking. But when he walked towards them, Dorothy whispered something to Rose and walked away.
"Butterfly?" he called her as he moved towards her.
Rose dried her tears in a hurry not to be seen by him but it was too late.
"What happened to you?" he asked as he looked at her face.
"Nothing," she said.
Arthur sighed as he saw Dorothy get the dished onto the table.
"What did you do?" he asked
Dorothy didn't say anything bad but smiled and continued what she was doing.
"Am okay, Arthur. She did nothing wrong I just wanted to cry " she said.
"You what? " Arthur asked confused
Rose giggled seeing his confused look on his face. Arthur dried her tears with a frown on his face.
"If you want to cry, then wait till I get home and do it in my arms," he said.
Rose nodded as she laughed at his statement then hugged him.
"I love you, Arthur," she said.
Holding her tight he said, " I love you more ".
