Arthur had dodged going to work for a week since he came back from his business trip. Sean had tried calling his phone but he never picked up and neither did Rose. His assistant had been delivering his work to and from work.
Sean knew Arthur was avoiding him, he didn't want to face him after lying to him for a while. Sean decided to end it, so he decided to join Irene who was visiting Rose.
"Why would Arthur be avoiding you just for that?"
"He knows am still angry at him, for lying to me," Sean said.
"But I was the one who told them not to tell you, so it's my fault. And Arthur has no reason to avoid you. His just spending time with Rose " Irene stated.
"I don't think so, they are always busy with work and the baby to have fun with each other " Sean chuckled.
Dorothy wasn't home, Irene and Sean decided to enter. They walked to the living room only to find Arthur and Rose having fun on the couch.
Arthur had sent away Dorothy on a vacation leaving Rose, him, and little Arthur alone at home. Little Arthur never got in their way, he always ate, played, and napped until his parents decided to play with him.
It was he knew he had to give them some privacy to have fun.
Arthur had been having his fun with Rose the whole week, She pampered him and took care of him. He had been teaching her how to swim again and she taught him how to cook some of her best meals. Then they washed little Arthur, fed him, played, and watched her dramas.
This morning he had refused her to go make breakfast for them claiming she was enough for him. Rose had insisted but Arthur had trapped her in the living room before she got to the kitchen. He had pushed her down onto the couch and playfully pulled down her nightdress. His lips had met her even before she had reached the couch. He knew she loved being kissed by him. She had finally given in when his lips touched hers. She kissed him uncontrollably as his hands explored her white beautiful skin.
She felt him getting harder and harder under his shorts. She pushed one of her hands inside his pants, clasping it with her soft fingers. His kisses grew rougher as she played with his dragon.
He used his one free hand to open her thighs apart to give him passage to her warm part. But before he could, he heard someone cough in the room.
Arthur left Rose's lips and looked up the couch only to see Irene and Sean standing at the entrance of the living room.
Irene's face had turned red while Sean looked so angry he could collapse.
Rose sensing something was wrong, opened her eyes, and followed Arthur's gaze. She saw her best friend and Sean in the living room.
She pushed her self up beside Arthur and pulled down her nightdress. The only thing that saved her from more embarrassment was that the couch's back had been facing them, so they had seen or heard little of what they had been doing.
Arthur picked up Rose and walked upstairs to their bedroom without a word.
Sean watched every move he made until he disappeared upstairs.
When she found her voice Irene said "Guess I was right " and walked into the room.
Sean said nothing and followed her. He avoided the couch that had turned into a crime scene for him and sat into another.
Rose was so angry and ashamed, she turned to Arthur after he let her down.
"You always do this to me, I don't know why you enjoy teasing me in the living room " she shouted.
"I do enjoy teasing you but it's not always my fault that we are caught. And it's not like we are doing something wrong, we are married and in our home, so we can do anything we want " Arthur said as he headed into the bathroom.
Rose knew he was right didn't say anything more but still felt embarrassed. She followed him into the bathroom.
After waiting for a while, Sean head Arthur and Rose come down the stairs. They looked better than how they had left the room.
Irene had made coffee, she went back to the kitchen and bought some for them too.
"So you missed work just to spend time with your wife, leaving all the work for me," Sean said.
"Sean am married, I have a wife and son who need me more than the company. I didn't come to work but still handled my part from home "
"Still you would have called and told me if you wanted some time home "
"Why would I call you, when the last time I did you failed to answer since you had matters to handle too, so I gave you space " Arthur sipped his coffee and smiled " I love the coffee Irene"
Sean stared at them both without saying anything.
"Ahh, Sean I have something to tell you but I hope you forgive me," Rose said.
Irene froze as her friend continued to say her sins.
"I kinda have said some harsh words to your mother when she hurt Irene at her shop," she said.
"It's okay I understand, my mother has always been like that so it's fine," Sean said.
Her face brightened up when he said that, she was worried that he might feel offended.
"But what exactly did you tell her to make her hate you the way she does now. I know my mother and she doesn't give up that easily " Sean asked.
"Well I asked my driver to throw her out of the shop, I said a lot but what I really remember clearly is that I called her little shit," Rose said.
Arthur choked on his tea while Sean almost dropped his cup of coffee if Irene hadn't been there.
"YOU WHAT? .!..." both men shouted.
"I swear I regretted it the moment it came out of my mouth, but I was really angry after seeing her slap Irene like that. But am really sorry " Rose hurriedly said that.
Sean and Arthur burst into laughter after hearing what she said.
"You both are really something, my mother has always won her fights but you were able to throw her out and call her that, you really deserve my friend " Sean laughed.
Confused by the reaction she looked at Arthur with a confused look.
"Butterfly don't worry it's alright. I was always the only person who could win against her but you seem to be better at it "
"But it's your mother?" Rose let out.
"I know and am glad you stood up for Irene. My mother would have done worse if you didn't stop her" Sean looked at Irene and smiled " love your lucky you have such a friend beside you "
Rose and Irene were relived after they found out that Sean was fine with what had happened.
