Rose drove to the company after she made sure her friend was okay. She seemed to be in a better mood than the previous days.
Rose felt better to and called Arthur to wait to tell Sean.
"Tell him when you are both done with everything. I know it's wrong but it can wait "
Arthur agreed and also decided to keep his phone so he could prevent him from receiving calls from his mother.
Nathan had been keeping his distance from Rose for a while
He had been secretly checking all Arthur's warehouses and estates in the hope of finding any clue about Victoria.
He was worried that by the time he gets to her it would be too late.
After failing to get anything he turned to Rose.
He came to the company and saw her busy with documents. Arthur had left most of his work to her, giving her a lot of work.
He knocked on her door getting her attention he asked to come in.
He saw her smile as she gestured him to do so.
"You seem to get more work than the rest of us?"
"Am helping the CEO with part of his work since he isn't around "
"Your body will hurt if you keep in one place the whole day, I think you should try some exercise when you're done "
" Any suggestions?" Rose asked
"Yah I do, I will take you there after work so you can relax and have fun too," Nathan said.
She nodded.
He stared at her beautiful face and found himself being drawn to it. She was no doubt a pure kind and gorgeous beauty. But he then frowned when he thought about Arthur being her husband. He didn't want to hurt her but since she was close to Arthur he had too.
He knew she wasn't innocent since she was the cause of the problem that led Victoria to the path she was on now.
He excused himself and went back to his office
Rose after work left with Nathan in his car. She chatted with him enjoying each other's presence.
"We are here," he said as he helped her out of the car.
Rose followed him inside and was amazed at how big and equipped the place was.
"Are you going to teach me how to fight?" she asked after realizing what it was.
"Not me but a friend of mine "
"I have always wanted to try it but Arthur opposed, saying it dangerous and I might hurt myself "
"If you do it with a professional it will turn out fun and helpful " Nathan assured.
Someone entered the hall, he was a tall muscular handsome man. He was dressed in a black best with shorts.
Nathan smiled and came closer, they hugged each other. He introduced Rose to him. His name was Stephen.
He introduced himself and soon they started the training. He showed and helped her with the basics that she easily learned.
"Your really a fast learner " Stephen complimented her.
"Thanks, it developed with time, since had to learn a lot of things when I was still doing part-time jobs "
Nathan watched them train, he felt something creep in his heart making him happy and warm when he saw her smile. She looked so pure and innocent that it was hard not to like her.
Realizing what he was doing, he excused himself and rushed out to the restrooms. He washed his face.
"What do you think you're doing?" he asked himself "She is the enemy you can't like her, it's Victoria you love " he whispered to himself.
When he calmed down he came back to the training hall.
Rose was serious with what she was taught, she had an amazing energy that it was like she had not been tired the whole day.
Soon the training was done and Rose was changing to leave.
The two men waited as she changed, Stephen looked at his friend and smiled.
"It has been a few years since I saw you but you decide to call me when you want a favor from me "
"I know am wrong but there was no one but you who could help with this " Nathan said
"So what are you doing with the Ramaon daughter in law?"
"How do you know she's the one?" Nathan asked.
Stephen chuckled " Everybody knows her and the wedding was a grand one. Even before they married she was all over the news a couple of times and I have to say she is one beautiful woman "
"Yeah she is " Nathan subconsciously said.
"Do you like her?" Stephen asked his friend.
Nathan coughed surprised by the question.
"I don't, why would you ask such a question?"
"They way you look and smile at her shows that you do and I have to say that I only spent a few hours with her but like her already so I understand if you do "
Nathan shook his head as he denied having feelings for Rose.
"I only have Victoria in my heart and Rose is married to someone I can't afford to offend so, it's a NO "
He saw Rose walk towards them and immediately stopped talking.
"Thanks for today and I hope I can come back to train with you, " Rose asked.
"I will be here anytime you want," Stephen said.
She smiled and both men warmly smiled back.
He drove her back home in silence. Rose looked out the window lost in thoughts and Nathan didn't bother her.
He later realized that Rose had dozed off, he adjusted her seat and covered her with his coat, when the traffic light turned green he continued to drive.
He remembered that first time he saw her, she bumped into his car out of nowhere. she looked scared with eyes full of fear. She was pain with bleeding feet. She collapsed in front of his car.
He had rushed to her and drove to the nearest hospital he could find. She had nothing that could identify her but he later discovered she was the fiancee of the man who Victoria left him for.
He informed the reception and told them to call Arthur's company and inform him.
It wasn't long when he arrived with his men, The hospital was filled with a dangerous area when he arrived. He rushed to the doctor and made sure Rose was okay, then came to him and thanked him. It was brief but he left an impression on Nathan. His men asked him what he returned in return but he turned it down.
By just looking at him, Nathan wanted nothing to do with him, he quietly left.
But that was before he found out about Victoria, now he was willing to do anything and get close to him.
But without his knowledge, he was falling for Rose every day he saw her.
