Soon after their unfortunate meeting with the girl named Sarah, Florence and Lily were confronted by another third year, "Hey, you're Florence, right?"
"Uh huh, why?" Florence asked, worried about what would happen.
"My gosh, I've heard so much about you! I just wanted to as you if you were already Reese's lackey?"
"Reese…?"
"You know her as Captain Harlow."
"Oh, no I'm not her lackey."
The girl smiles, "Okay, that's good to hear. We should become friends, is that alright?"
"Uh, sure? Was that even a question?"
The girl giggled, "You're funny, it's kinda cute." Florence blushed, "I've got to go, see ya later!"
"What's your name?" Florence asked as the girl walked away.
"It's Olivia, Olivia Trapp." She said over her shoulder. Florence widened her eyes, slightly in shock.
"So that was the Trapp those girls were talking about." Blurted out Lily suddenly, "I had expected her to be more…"
"Tough?" Florence helped her out.
"Yeah, she did not seem like someone who could even aim a gun properly, much less destroy someone in paintball." They got to the dorm and sat down on Lily's bed.
"You're right, but she must've gotten that title somehow." Florence shivered as Lily nodded in agreement. Captain Harlow walked into the dorm.
"I'm assuming that all of you were able to get a good meal?"
"Yes ma'am." Came a relaxed response from the girls.
"Okay, good. I know that some of you may need to use the restroom to shower and relieve yourselves, so follow me if you wanna go." Several girls, including Florence and Lily, grabbed a few toiletries and followed her into the hallway. Florence was met with even more stares than before, and she tried not to meet anyone's gaze. Captain Harlow lead them down the hallway to a door labeled as the restroom, "Here it is." She said, "Showers are to the left, stalls are to the right. Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT follow any third years who invite you to or offer to give you something."
"Why's that?" Asked Hannah, who happened to tag along.
"I'd rather not say, just follow my advice. I'll be waiting in the dorm for lights out." She turned around and stalked back down the hallway.
All of the girls walked in. There was a large division that had, just like Captain Harlow said, showers on the left and stalls and sinks on the right. Florence didn't feel the need to shower, so she went right. She quickly relieved herself before washing her hands and brushing her teeth. She was combing her hair, when Sarah snuck up behind her, "Hey." She said, much calmer than she had been earlier.
"Um…hi?" Florence finished combing her hair really quickly and was getting ready to leave when Sarah stopped her.
"You don't have to be so cold ya know? I could end up being your mentor." She smoothed down her blonde hair confidently.
"Don't be so full of yourself, I've gotta go."
"Why don't you come back with me to my dorm? I've got a phone, and I know that you first years aren't allowed to have those."
"I really don't care that much." She began walking towards the door, when Sarah grabbed her wrist.
"C'mon, it'd be loads of fun!" Florence tried to escape her iron grip.
"She said she didn't want to go with your sorry a$$." Came a familiar voice from the doorway.
Sarah let go, "Eeesh Harlow, I didn't think you'd get involved in this."
Captain Harlow stepped between Sarah and Florence, "Please do see yourself out." Came her voice again in an icy tone.
"Heh, whatever. Trapp wants her too, so I didn't have a chance. I wouldn't dream of challenging you, but she will, so you better get ready." Sarah practically slammed the door behind her.
"Why'd you come?" Asked Florence curiously.
"You were the last person, and I knew someone would try something." Florence smiled, "What?"
"Oh nothing, I'm just glad to know that under that icy façade, there's a genuinely caring person in there." Captain Harlow let a slight blush show.
"Wha- Never mind, let's go." She turned around and walked towards the door, a smiling Florence following her out.
