I didn't have much time to think about anything else since the following days had been packed.
Before I knew it, Thursday arrived. I felt a bit tired since I had pulled an all-nighter the previous night and only got to take a quick nap.
But alas, I had finished all of my classes for the day and now stood before my closet.
'Ah.. what to wear.. should I just wear what I usually wear?' I tussled my hair as I thought.
After trying on a few outfits, I decided to go with a comfortable beige turtleneck and a pair of black jeans.
I checked my phone, it was 5:40, the theater was about 10 minutes away so I'd be a bit early.
Grabbing my wallet, I walked out and took a taxi since I didn't feel like taking a bus today. My wallet may cry just a tiny bit, but my mind will be a bit more at ease at least.
I checked my texts once more to check where we would meet up. Looking up, I saw a familiar tall figure surrounded by a few girls, he seemed to be a bit panicked at the situation.
I let out a sigh, I couldn't just leave that puppy alone.. and besides, I might as well take this whole "boyfriend" thing a little more seriously since I had nothing better to do anyway.
Making my way towards him I slung my arm over his bro is shoulders, "... you're quite early." I said as I pulled him away, ignoring the complaints from the girls.
"Ah, you should've texted me if you arrived.." Riley mumbled with tinted cheeks.
"Well, I didn't think you'd get here before me. Did you wait long?" I let out a small chuckle, it was strange how I wasn't repulsed by his cuteness.
"I-I didn't wait long at all! Um, anyway, let's go get some snacks and head in." He sneaked his hand into mine and pulled me along in embarrassment.
Ah.. this cheeky brat~ his hand felt warm.. I felt a pang in my chest as I questioned why I wasn't pushing him away despite the fact that he was a guy..
I took out my hand as he showed the tickets and ordered some popcorn & drinks. It was a bit funny to watch his imaginary ears and tail droop, but I didn't want to attract attention from onlookers.
We quickly found our theater and sat in our seats. We were in the back, with no one really around us as they were closer to the front.
As the movie finally started, I felt a slightly sweaty but warm hand intertwine with mine. I almost choked on my popcorn as I whipped my heard to look at Riley,
"..No one can see us back here, so..." he leaned in and whispered in my ear. I felt my face heat up and his breath tickled my ear.
I pushed his face away with my free hand, flustered.
As much as I hated to admit it, I was a sucker for good looks... and his face was exactly my type, had I batted for the same team.
I tore my focus away towards the screen, he had gotten tickets for a romance movie that had been gaining popularity lately. Though, I'm more of a thriller kinda guy. I felt my head a few times as I felt a wave of sleepiness come over me...

(Riley POV (=^▽^))
I glanced over at Jake, my heart pounded as my dream finally came true..
I didn't have many chances to get closer to Jake, but I really felt glad for that night.. had my drunken self let go of the opportunity to confess, I'd probably still be admiring him from afar.
I let out a mental sigh as I gave my drunk self a pat on the back. Though the situation had been awkward, I wouldn't have had the chance to be holding his hand as I was now..
I noticed Jake's head swaying as he dozed off. Panicking, I didn't want him to hit his head or anything, so I swiftly caught his head in my other hand and rested his head against my shoulder.
I blushed in realization as to what I had impulsively done. However, Jake was sound asleep, breathing softly against me.
I wondered if he could hear my heart thumping erratically out of my chest...
