"Well, you're not dying." Salem wandered back into the room of his clinic where I was sitting, holding a clipboard in his hands. "Your iron levels are just really low, so that explains the dizziness. How often do you feel nauseous?"
"Nearly every day, and my breasts have been sore lately. So do I have to change my birth control again?" My hand smoothed over my bloated belly. "I haven't had my period in three months."
It wasn't unusual for my cycle to be completely fucked up. Malnourishment in Zhian Ren's dungeon meant my cycle had all but abandoned me, and once it came back it was severely irregular.
"When was the last time you had your birth control shot?"
"Four months ago." It was a new method I'd decided to try in hopes of not having to take those blasted little pills. I'd always forget them.
"I don't suggest you get another shot. Or switch out your birth control. Not unless you want a disaster."
I quirked an eyebrow at him, confused. "Why?"
