A month or two had passed since my arrival to the establishment where I was kept. I wasn't exactly sure of the time lapse since I had nothing but a clock with an alarm on my bedside table and a mental count to provide some certainty of how many days I'd been here. Not to mention that I hadn't seen the sky, trees, or anything pertaining to nature since unloading at the warehouse.
Time was a concept and it didn't matter how long I'd been here. I wasn't going anywhere, anyway.
My alarm startled me awake before I slammed a hand down on it. Thanks to the nature of the establishment none of us had to be up before ten in the morning, but working long into the night meant that everyone got between four to six hours of sleep either way.
Groggily sitting up, I rubbed at my mascara coated eyes and grimaced, remembering that I'd forgotten to take off my makeup before crashing.
