Chapter 10: Wraiths
A lone figure could be seen standing on top of the building adjacent to the star labs new York branch this person was august clad in his godspeed suit he was stalking meena he wouldn't be doing this but craver had decided to send his goons to them earlier to apprehend them instead of killing so he could use their connection as a gateway into the speedforce to destroy it so he and Eva decided that they needed to be to protected so he would go save meena and then go and save Avery he noticed meena walking out of the star labs to a nearby café for a lunch break "show time" he said zooming down into an alley coming out with causal clothes he entered the café after her looking around he saw her talking to a waitress waiting for some time he approached her as the waitress left hello uh is anybody sitting here he asked looking at him with confused expression uh no one is sitting here but my co-workers would soon be here she said "its ok I won't be here for long he said sitting down my names august heart" "my name is mee_" "meena dawn I know you are you're supervisor of the science division of star labs" "who are you" she said getting defensive "as I said I am august heart am speedster like you" he said while demonstrating as lightning crackled along his fingers "you're the flash" she exclaimed in surprise "oh I wish I was but am not, am a speedster like you who was struck by the lightning storm" "what that's interesting I had tried to find others like but I came up with nothing" "that's because we are all being killed off by a deranged psychopath called joseph craver or as he likes to call himself mirror master" "huh why" she asked confused that's bec- booom a large explosion had cut him off what was that she asked as they walked outside to see burning building cars destroyed building and smoke everywhere "what the hell" Jessica cursed they saw multiple blackhole goons destroying the place "damn you craver" he cursed looking at them "you need to go and hide I'll take them down" "what you can't expect me to hide" "do you know to help defeat them" but she just remained silent "exactly go and hide I'll find you" he said as lightning crackled around him forming his suit "go now" he order as he ran towards them he begins to shove his hand through their chest and snapping their necks the begin to shoot at him but he just dodges all their shots and keeps on killing them release the weapon a guard shouts as the a trucks opens releasing its captive "what the hell" he exclaims looking at the thing they just released it was all black and red eyes the body looked asif it was made of rocks, its mouth had jagged teeth with slime dripping from the mouth as black and red lightning crackled around it destroying its surrounding "you like it godspeed" a voice called out looking he saw craver behind him "what is that" "that is what that I call it a wraith you can call it youre antithesis it hunts and devours anything that possesses the speedforce" looking back at it he realizes a horrible truth "all those people you siphoned off their speedforce and corrupted it creating this thing" "bravo godspeed seems you're smarter than I gave you credit for but this is the end for you and even if you survive I highly doubt you,ll be able to save the other girl" "what did you do" he growls "let's just say that both you and her are in the same situation anyhow I'll be seeing you never goodbye" he says disappearing into the mirror dimension as the collar on the monster shuts down it rushes toward him "shit" he thinks as he runs away moving throughout the city but the wraith can easily keep up with him he makes 2 clones to distract him but it just tears through them and keeps on chasing him how the hell to I kill this thing he says trying to think of a plan but before he could do anything the wraiths slams its fist into his back sending him through multiple building "argh" august groans on the ground but before he could stand up the beast races in grabbing him by the neck and begins to drain his speedforce as he screams out in pain but his saved as a person runs in kicking it away "are you ok a voice calls out" "ugh who are you" he says as he visions clears looking at a female clad in a black and yellow suit "its me meena but you can call me fast track" "what menna I thought I told you to stay way" yeah I would have but it seems you're having your ass beat "you wanna help fine but we need to defeat this thing fast and head for china" "what why" "there's another person like us a girl she's fighting one of these things we need to help her" he informs her as the monster stands up glaring at them hateful as they both run leading it throughout the city "any plans on how to kill it" she calls out "I think I have one, you see that thing disrupts our natural connection to the speedforce corrupting it and draining us but we can do the same with our own but we would need a large amount before we can kill it are you up for it" "yeah I am" he both begin to lead it outside the city as the dodge all the lightning it begins to toss at them gritting his teeth august creates 4 clones to distract it as both he and fast track races back throughout the city gaining speed the both approach it punching it together it flies through multiple trees the 2 remaining clones of august move dash towards it holding it down as both he and fast track stand shove their hand through its chest channelling all their speed force energy boom a large explosion occurs as they both seen lying on the ground tired damn that was painful he moans "yeah you got that right" "shit the girl" he remembers struggling to stand up "are you sure we would be able to reach her" she says "I hope so" as both run to china at their top speed despite being tired
5 minutes later
A white and gold streak accompanied by a yellow one can be seen racing into china looking for her but that wouldn't be necessary as all they had to do was follow all the death and destruction around them arriving in a park they see a 2 familiar speedster and a certain ice queen with cut and blood on their body well what do we have here godspeed called out "y-y-you what are you doing here" jesse stuttered "was just passing by and decided to see whats going on" "youre working with that thing" wally accuses them oh please asif" he snorts "why are you here then" frost asks "where here to save the girl" like you know anything about being a hero" wally fires back "at least am not a fake knock off of the original" godspeed snaps back why you wally growls walking to him (oh you're approaching me) just joking "enough we have more things to worry about" fast track oh and you are wally says ogling at here am fast track and right now we need to save th__ booom a large explosion was heard as a streak of purple lightning could be seen running toward them I managed to knock it down but it won't stop the girl said stopping in front of them she wore a purple, black and gold suit "why is that thing after you" frost questioned it's a m__ godspeed was caught off as a portal appeared infront of them you k now youre really becoming a pain the ass I thought one would be enough for but I seems I have to up my game he stated glaring angrily at god speed as the wraith avery was fighting zommed standing beside him three portal opened up bringing forth three more wraith which were caged within a container "fuck" god speed muttered summing up all their thoughts i would say good luck but am pretty sure your all out of it he said chuckling darkly leaving them to their fate this is bad" jesse pointed out "yeah it is" "I don't get why don't we just run and leave them" but they all glared at him and leave innocent people to die some hero you are god speed said "at least I know when to give up and this is a loss caused" "we won't solve anything by fight so temporary truce" "fine but once were done were hauling your ass to jail" "tch" turning he saw the Cage open and lightning crackling on the wraiths as both wraiths and speedsters dashed forward ready for the fight of their lives.
10 minutes later
A bloody and beaten groups of misfits could be seen on the ground panting their suits badly damaged I gotta say that was terrifying avery wheezed on the floor tired yeah were lucky to be alive goodspeed replied trying to stand up as a portal opening behind them and pair of darts hit him avery and meena dropping them "what is this godspeed" demands as iris and vibe step out of the portal "you guy are wanted criminals" "what!!!!! The two of them have nothing to do with this" "but they do as your accomplice" "no we are not he is trying to save us from blackhole" "yeah and why should we believe you" "he's murdered people" iris said "the only people I have killed were the blackhole agents and they deserved it with all the innocent lives they have taken" "and you're no different your coming with us" iris demanded "like hell" he growled trying to move but couldn't those darts we shot at you was a paralyzer and sleeping agent "why…aren't you heroes" "we are but threats like you need to be locked up and I know just the place" wally said with a menacing grin "that would teach you to make a mockery out of me" "uh like that's not fair" avery cried out frustrated not believing heroes could be such dicks "what would your predecessor say" meena chimed in well his not here and am the boss in charge "you'll pay for this" godspeed growled as the speed drug kicked in knocking them out as they approached them to carry them into the breach to star labs but within an eye blink all three of them where gone "what the hell" they exclaimed "what just happened" jesse asked perplexed "I don't but we need to find how they disappeared" iris said as they entered a breach back to star labs
One hour earlier
Barry's pov
barry can be seen working on his suit after breakfast he sara had left for her practice while Jessica had been in her room there had talked a bit in the morning after breakfast as he began to understand her more she was shy and afraid of something but deep down he could see the confident and brave woman she was and he was going to bring her out and get rid of her insecure self he swore to himself. Gideon had then informed him of craver's plan so he began to speed up the completion of his suit "mr allen" Gideon called out "yes Gideon" he replied "august heart and the remaining speedsters are in trouble" "what happened?" "it seem craver has sent his monsters to kill them" she says bringing up the cctv real time footage of them one in new York and the other in china "august and meena and have it handled but Avery won't last long against it" he said while pacing "crisis has been averted mr allen team kid flash have arrived" turning he watched how they came out from a breach and began to assist her but where losing while august was done with his and arrived in china to help her as avery had used a bunch of cables to tie it while throwing it to a gas station and blowing it up as she cleared all the civilians there "that was a good plan but reckless she needs to be more careful" he commented on her action as she met up with them as craver appeared he couldn't get audio but it seemed there were pissed and tired as 3 more of those thing came out from a portal with the fourth one joining them from the gas station as they began to fight with it "this is going to be bloody" he noted looking at them and he was right as five minutes later the area and surrounding areas where destroyed "they won but what about the causalities" he said looking at the damage they had caused as a portal appeared and august, meena and avery got shot with a dart there was a look of outrage on his face as meena and avery looked scared while kid flash was grinning menacing I should have expected that he said unfazed by their betrayal looking over his suit wasn't near completion seem "I gotta make this fast" he said with lightning crackling around him within Pico-seconds he was in china he grabbed unto avery creating 2 clones they carried august and meena and there were gone arriving in keystone city he dropped them in a decommissioned star labs facility dispelling his clones, He sent a pulse of lightning into each of them he got rid of the sedative while destroying the trackers in their blood system "typical" he scoffed "of course they would do this" oh my head" avery moaned as they began to come through "what happened" meena asked "those bastard august" said as they stood up "you guys are really have a knack for trouble don't you" a voice called out as they turned looking at the vibrating figure with yellow eyes and lightning crackling around him "y-y-you're…" avery stuttered godspeed and meena finished with wide eyes "t-the flash"
