The next day went by in a complete breeze, and I was so relieved to finally have the opportunity to just stay in bed all day with no consequences. The television had lulled me to sleep and woke me up multiple times, and it was nice to wake up from my third nap of the day at three in the afternoon to Francine Smith complaining about her Stan working on their family vacation.
I hadn't bothered to check my phone all morning, so it wasn't all that surprising to see dozens of missed calls and message notifications. Putting my phone on silent was one of the best things I had done all week. After scrolling through my notifications, I groaned and put my phone down, trying to rub the sleep out of my eyes. It was late and I needed a shower. This hunger was not going to go away on its own.
