"Are you sure you want to do this?" Jason rubbed my back softly, most likely thinking that I was going to have a nervous breakdown and end up lighting the apartment on fire. "We can still cancel."
"I want to know the truth." I needed to know the truth. It had been eating at me for weeks and while I hadn't exactly had the courage to reach out to my father and ask all my questions, knowing that he was going to come by the apartment to offer an explanation made me more than relieved and equally nervous.
