"Come in," I called, leaning back in my chair the way a high executive would when they have a swivel chair. "Good afternoon, Rafael."
"Mi diosa, radiant as always." Rafael came straight with the charm and kissed the back of my hand, lingering on it for a moment too long. "Jason, it's good to see you again."
"Likewise, Rafael. I look forward to doing business with you." My husband shook hands with the stock whiz, and it was just about the most manly sight I had seen in a while.
"And you are…?" Rafael turned to Hugo curiously, reaching out a hand for my assistant to shake. Hugo took it, and immediately looked surprised by the strength in his grip.
Hugo wasn't built like these two men, but he was tall, and he was undoubtedly a man, timid though he may seem. Imagine my surprise when he straight up turns beet red and has to clear his throat just to say his name.
"I'm Mrs. Greene's assistant, Hugo. Pleased to meet you…"
