There were more people inside than outside the ballroom, which didn't surprise me, but it was still a noteworthy fact. Familiar faces, new faces, good faces, bad faces, friendly faces and serious faces. It was a sea of faces wherever I looked, and overhead all of us, there were banners that showcased the numbers of charities present and donating. My eyes scanned them until they reached a light green banner with the title GreeneLife Project on it in bold cursive letters.
"There you are," Jason whispered in my ear. I had to resist the urge to squirm and pull away. It had been so long since he'd been this close to me and I was afraid that my body's reaction to him would seem abnormal. "Beautiful."
"We," I corrected, giving a polite smile to a passerby. "You're supporting my adventure so you deserve credit too."
