Gabriel didn't know when he fell asleep but when he woke up, he felt like his head was splitting in half.
He tried getting up from his bed, dizzy and weak, still he managed to sat up straight. He looked towards his bedside table and found his empty water pitcher.
"I must have stayed so late last night." Gabriel murmured. Even though he was trained to be almost always awake all the time, his body gradually adapt to his current living environment. He had been sleeping early and waking up early these past several days.
Last night was the second time he had been so anxious to the point of getting a headache.

The gentle rapping on the door whenever Annie knocks, pulled Gabriel back to his reality. With his crutches, he stood up from the bed and helped himself sit on to his wheelchair. He made his way to the small living room and to the front door.
