Reaching up, Cedren gave him a kiss on the cheek and turned on her heels and went back to the main house. Just as she hit the top of the stairs, Mai came out the door as though she was trying to find her. Waving back to her, Cedren walked up to her the rest of the way. She took a few deep breaths before telling her about the letter from her brother.
Cedren: "I was coming to look for you anyway. I got a letter from my family. My brother has a mating ceremony this next full moon and would like me, Nuvaro, and the children to attend. I know my mother will be happy to see them."
Mai Hact: "Well then, it seems to be an exciting time. Very well then, I shall help you get the children's things ready. You will need to head out first thing in the morning if you want to make it to your home village in time."
