Chapter 89 - Warning

When Dakota and I woke later that night, it was snowing. The cold front that the weatherman had been talking about had arrived. When we were ready, we left for the cabin, wanting to make sure everything was ready. And although the snow was sticking, it wasn't that bad... yet. But I wasn't going to hold my breath.

"Were you able to get more tranquilizer darts?" I asked Mark, knowing that Lacey and Dylan had been running low the night before. In fact, my father had said that he and Noah were almost out, too.

"Yes. Carl, Caleb, Noah, and I got more today. We should be all set." He smirked. "I just hope we don't need as many tonight."

"You and me both," Dakota replied, laughing without humor.

Mark nodded, his eyebrows pulling together in concern. "Have you talked to Dane Wilson today?"
