I trotted off to get dressed. When I was near the hollow tree, I let the red haze with black edges overtake my vision. Tremors ran down my spine and my limbs as I literally pulled myself back together into my human form. Then I quickly dressed and headed back to the clearing, where Michelle and Micah waited with Mark and Jessup.
"And you're sure the cure is...." Jessup's lip curled, showing his distaste as he swallowed. "... her blood?"
"Absolutely," Mark replied as a broad smile spread across his lips.
"Let me call Raina and ask if Mr. Wilson turned or not for sure," I said, already heading for my car to get my cell phone.
But Mark held up his hand. "No need. At sunrise, I talked to her in the Pack Mind. At daylight, she went outside and phased to tell me."
"And?" we all asked at once.
