The next day flew by quickly, and Dakota picked me up for school first thing Monday morning.
"Good morning, beautiful." He gave me a quick kiss on the lips.
"Morning." I climbed into the cab of his truck, and we were on our way a few minutes later. "Don't forget. We have a Pack Meeting tonight."
He nodded, one corner of his lips curling into a smile. "Yeah, we need to talk about the murders and the Dark Elves."
I nodded. "If they're responsible, we need to come up with a plan to catch them." I sighed, looking out the window at the changing leaves. "I don't know any other creature that could make that many spider webs."
"Other than a real spider," Dakota said, turning down the street, headed toward our school.
"It would have to be one massive spider." I shook my head, hoping I never saw one that huge. "I don't think any spiders that big live around here."
Dakota shrugged. "Unless a witch created one for some reason."
