In my driveway, I kissed Dakota goodbye in his truck and then opened the door. "I'll see you later. I'll need to hurry if I'm going to get back to the school by four-thirty."
Dakota smirked. "Have fun." From the way he was acting, he was still thinking of having children.
I laughed, shaking my head. "Dakota, stop it!"
His mouth opened wide, giving me an innocent look. "Stop what?"
"You know what."
He laughed, enjoying my discomfort a bit too much. "Okay. Have fun." Then he leaned over and gave me a long, lingering kiss. "But I want to have children in the next few years."
I rolled my eyes. "After we're married."
He nodded, smiling. "After we're married."
"But let's just take it one day at a time. Okay?"
"If we must," he teased.
I gave him one last wave over my shoulder and then headed inside.
Dad was in the living room, flipping through the channels, trying to find a game. "What's the hurry?"
