"Mark, remember what you went through when you and Crystal first got together?" I hated to remind him, but he needed to cut Bash a little slack.
Mark's head snapped up. "That's different."
"Is it?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No, she's right, Mark." Crystal let out a deep breath. "We need to do everything we can to save Jasmine... or whoever it is. Mark, I was gone. But you believed in me and saved me. And we need to give Jasmine that chance, too." She shrugged. "Whether she takes it or not is her choice."
Mark nodded, letting his hands fall to his sides. "Fine. But if it comes down to the safety of the pack, then we'll have to do what we have to do."
"But you'll try to save her, right?" Michael asked, taking a step forward. "Remember what The Great Spirit said: We will soon have to choose between what's right and what's easy."
