Mark let out a huge howl as he writhed on the floor in painwhile Michelle's blood started coursing through his body.
"Everyone out!" Dakota yelled.
They cleared the room.
Silent tears fell down Crystal's face.
We all felt helpless, for we could do nothing but watch and wait.
"What's happening?" Crystal asked. "Do you think it's working?"
"It's hard to tell, but I think it is." Micah sighed. "I hate to say it, but it's either going to cure him or kill him. Then again, Mark wouldn't want to live as a Wendigo, either."
Crystal nodded. It was hard to hear, but it was the truth... and she needed to know. "But now, at least he has a chance."
"Yes," Micah said, "he has a chance."
Soon, Mark started quieting down and then fell into a deep sleep.
"I'll get him a blanket," Raina said, her voice soft.
"But don't you think he'll be okay to come out of the cage now?" Crystal asked, swiping her hand across her cheeks.
