Students cheered happily, running out on the last day of school. The bell had just rung, signaling the start of summer. This year was finally over, and we were finally free.
"So, what would you like to do this summer?" Dakota asked, sliding his arm around my waist as we walked out.
I breathed a sigh of relief. "I'm not sure. Just being out and not having school to worry about for a while is going to be heavenly." Then I thought of something. "Were you able to catch up all your missing work?"
He had been in a coma and had missed a lot of school. But of course, he had college degrees, so missing a few months of school was nothing. He could easily catch up.
One corner of his lips curled into the sexy smile that I had missed so much. Since he woke and the Dark Rider was defeated, we have the best month ever. Uneventful, which was always good chance. "I caught up on it over the weekend." He raised an eyebrow. "You?"
