"Well, this is it," Michelle said when we had everything cleaned up and put away at the cabin after the battle. "So, are you going home?"
I nodded. "My mother has physical form for twenty-four hours. So, I want to spend as much time with her as I can while I can."
"And now that the Dark Rider and the Wild Hunt are defeated," Michelle said, "you should be able to rest for a while."
I shook my head, as a smile lit my lips. "No, the Dark Rider will be back. And don't forget, he still has Dakota."
Michelle nodded, giving my arm a gentle squeeze. "Go. Enjoy your time with your mother. I'll see you tomorrow."
I nodded, pulling her in for a hug. "Thanks, Michelle."
When she pulled back, she tilted her head to the side, having thought of something. "Do you think you may be able to do a spell to bring her back permanently?"
