"Now, close your eyes," Gillespie cooed, holding my hands. "Vacat vobis, liberum est ire."
Suddenly, it felt as if the binds that had tethered me in the World of Fae fell away, and I hadn't realized it had been holding me in the first place.
"You may now open your eyes," she said, smiling.
"Wow...." I said, feeling free.
"You are now free to go," she said, releasing my hands.
But I took a step forward and took her hands, looking into her eyes. "Queen Gillespie, thank you for your instruction and counsel. It's almost as if I've grown up in the time I've been here."
She nodded. "In many ways, you have."
"You've taught me so much, so many things during this time," I said as happy tears sprang to my eyes. "But most of all, you've given me hope, not only for me, but hope for our world and for the future."
