"So, what can we do?" I asked. "How can we save Dakota? Can you heal him?"
Michael nodded. "I can try. But again, it's up to The Great Spirit."
"What do we need to do?" I asked, glad that he came. If anyone could save Dakota, I know Michael and The Great Spirit could.
"Well, first thing's first." He walked to the side of my bed and started to slowly place his hands on my chest, but I stopped him. "No. Heal Dakota first."
Michael shook his head. "No. I may need you to help me. It depends upon what we're dealing with, and Dakota may only respond to you. And in order to do that, you must be healed." Then he tilted his head to the side, his blue eyes piercing mine. "May I?"
"Wait," Micah said and then closed the door to my hospital room, stood in front of it, blocking the entrance, and shrugged. "Just in case."
I nodded. "Okay. I'm ready."
