"When do we leave?" I asked, sad that such a wonderful night had ended so horribly.
"As soon as we can. We can't wait until morning," Julien replied. "Disperse your pack to get ready, but tell them to be back here in an hour. We need to attack before the sun comes up. They won't be expecting it." Then he looked over at me. "Could you and Dakota go with Crystal and Tiara to her lair?" he asked, lowering his voice. "There's something about Crystal that I don't trust. How else would Cathy have known where to find you and your father?"
I shook my head. "I'm not sure, but there are spies in the Fae, too. Lucas and Brady knew, too, but there is no way that they would betray me and the pack."
Julien nodded. "Well, go with her and see what you can find out. Obviously, she loves her niece and won't put her in harm's way. But she didn't want to take her with her for some reason."
