"Let's clean up this mess and get something to eat before tonight," I said, assessing the damage in the cabin. Although the demon had burst into flames and been sent back to Hell, the chair, straps, and the floor of the cabin were left unscathed. Then I looked over at Brady and Lucas. "Thank you so much." I scoffed. "I'm not even going to ask how you captured him."
Lucas sighed, retracting his wings as he carried the chair over to the table. "It was an ordeal, but I'll spare you the details for now. Sorry we weren't able to give you guys more notice, but we had to act while we had the chance."
"No problem at all." Dakota gave him a manly slap on the shoulder. "Thanks for calling us."
Lucas nodded as a worried look appeared on his face.
"This isn't going to blow your cover, is it?" I'd hate to think that we had gotten them killed.
