"How much longer will it be?" I asked in my Dad's truck, on our way to The Harvest Moon Pack later that afternoon. I realized I sounded like a child, even to my own ears.
Dad laughed. "Well, it's a fifteen-hour drive, if we drive straight through. But we need to stop for the night, or we won't be able to speak coherently with the Alpha Supreme when we get there."
On my other side, Dakota laughed. "I already called Julien to let him know that we had to drive and that we wouldn't be there until tomorrow."
"What did he say?" I knew I should try and get some sleep. But with meeting the Alpha Supreme for the first time, my nerves were getting the best of me and sleeping was nearly impossible.
"He was fine with it." Dakota pulled me to his side. "Why don't you try and rest?"
"Yeah, right," I replied. "We're meeting the Alpha Supreme and I'm supposed to relax."
Dakota shrugged. "Actually, he's a pretty cool guy."
