"What's so special about this jeweler anyway?" I asked Dakota as we followed Crystal and Mark.
Dakota shrugged. "He specializes in jewelry for the supernatural."
I nodded. "Is it any different than for creating jewelry for humans?"
"A little," Dakota said, tilting his head to the side. "First off, he has to know if the stones have been spelled or not. Also, he makes custom designs and can accommodate anyone, no matter what they might need."
I nodded. "So, different supernatural beings may need different things?"
"Somewhat." He shrugged. "Vampires may need one thing, while wolf-shifters may need another."
"Now that you mention it, I thought that vampires couldn't walk in the sunlight."
Dakota chuckled. "That was a myth the elders told to the humans long ago so it wouldn't create a mass panic." He shrugged. "Also, it kept people off the streets at night. The last thing we needed were villagers out with pitchforks and torches."
