"Dakota, we can't just go back to school like nothing happened. We need to prepare," I said after the final night of the full moon cycle in February. But if we don't stop the Devil, then the Apocalypse was coming, and I had no idea how to prevent it. But the thought of going back to school seemed irrelevant in the big picture.
"Jessica, it's going to take time to gather the troops and formulate a plan," Dakota replied, helping me into his truck. "We need some normalcy in our lives to balance out the doom and gloom, or else we'll go crazy." Dakota slid into the driver's seat a moment later. "Besides, Lucas and Brady are going to see if they can infiltrate the cult and will report back to us when they can." He started the engine. "But if things start happening quicker than we expect, they will let us know."
