When I woke the next day, Dakota was already gone. It was early enough, so I quickly showered and dressed for school. I had already missed enough school, and I needed to get caught up on my work, even though there was a misguided werewolf still on the loose. But at least we took down the wicked witch of the west... literally.
As I got ready, I wondered if Mr. Wilson had heard from Cathy. There was no way that she was going home now, and she didn't have anywhere else to go, other than out of town. So, I made a silent vow to talk to Mr. Wilson today after class.
"Morning," Dad said, taking a sip of his coffee. He was sitting at the table, reading the paper, when I came downstairs, ready for school. "After last night, I'm surprised you're going to school today."
