As I hung onto the old tree branch in my human form, I knew I couldn't phase into my wolf. My wolf was much heavier and bigger than my human form. If I phased now, it would cause the branch to break for sure. I was lucky that it had held this long.
"Help!"
Cccrrreeeeeaaaakkkk!!!!
I knew I had to stay still. The slightest movement would cause the branch to fall... and take me with it.
"Jess, I'm here," Dakota said from the top. I looked up and there he was, naked, peering over the edge. "I was in my wolf waiting at the waterfall when I heard you. I tried to get here as quickly as I could."
"Oh, Dakota!" I breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness you're here! Quick! I need a rope or something!"
"Your father's on his way along with Eric, Dylan, and Mark," Dakota said. "As soon as he heard what was going on, your dad went to go get ropes from his truck."
