I nodded, watching the scenery pass. It was gorgeous. And the farther we drove, the more dense the trees along the road became. Soon, even the road became overgrown with vegetation, barely visible. But Dakota still managed to get the pickup truck through.
"Where are we going?" I asked, hoping he didn't get his pickup truck stuck. But if he did, we could easily lift if out. Super strength was another benefit of being a wolf-shifter.
Dakota looked over at me and smirked. "Some place special. I like to go there when I want to get away by myself or something serious to think about."
"Uh oh." I smirked. "Since you're not alone, I'll take it that you want to discuss something serious."
"Why? Don't you?" he asked, his eyebrows raising in concern.
I chuckled. "Yes, I was only teasing." Just getting away from the angst that Faith seemed to bring with her cleared my head and made me feel much better.
