Chapter 25 - Put Your Head On My Shoulder?

"You are not supposed to love me.", I see tears sparkling in her eyes, sparkling in different colors, just like the fireworks did.

"What do you mean?", I let her face go.

"You can't love me you idiot! You are my brother!!", Aiko starts crying.

I can't speak at all. My mind stops thinking. There's a lot of questions in my mind. How did she survive? who was the 3rd victim then? Why didn't she come back to me then?! Why?! My head is all a mess. Everyone is dancing to the song 'Put Your Head On My Shoulder'. What a coincidence this is! This song made me happy. This song is making me cry. But yet tears won't come. Because this is my fault. If only I didn't do what I did back then. If only I didn't want to save someone else, she might have stayed with me. It is guilt what is dominating my sorrow.

War can bring memories back ironically.

The moonlight is coming through the window. As the curtains aren't fully closed. I'm facing upward looking at the ceiling fan. It's spinning slow. The bed doesn't feel comfortable anymore. The silence is what I'm hating the most now. Tachibana and Densetsu are probably having fun. Maybe even getting closer to each other. Aiko is facing the other way on the bed next to mine. I can bet she isn't sleeping. I could hear her cry a few moments ago.

"Why are you trying to sleep when your mind won't let you?", I ask.

"You are one to talk.", Aiko smiles while she faces towards me.

"Your make up, so I was right about you crying."

"I guess there's no point in hiding it now."

"It rather looks cute on you. Puffy eyes and lips, black lines running down your chick. Looks like a nine year old doing her first make up.", I start laughing.

"Stop it!!", She hits me slowly on my hand. I catch her hand.

"What are you doing?", she asks.

"I don't know."

"Stop it. We are siblings."

"You want me to believe that story?", I smile.

"So, you knew?"

"That I was adopted by your parents?"

"Yea?"

"It was the last thing he said to me.", my smile disappears.

"You mean dad?"

"Yea. Do you hate me for killing them?" I look at her.

"I did, back then."

"What about now?", I go to her bed. She makes space for me.

"I don't hold anything against you."

"Then why did you say 'no' back at the roof."

"I wanted you to be clear with everything. I wanted to be sure. I wanted to see what you would do if I told you I was your sister."

"But you aren't, you liar."

She smiles looking at me.

"Can I try again?", I ask.

"What?"

"You know, what I tried on the rooftop."

She blushes, "I don't know."

"I'll feel hurt otherwise."

"Just do what you want to do."

Damn, she looks so cute. I want to tease her a little.

I grab both her hands, get closer to her, "anything I want, huh!?" I smirk.

"What are you... stop it!", she looks the other way. She is sweating. I can hear her heartbeat.

"I love you.", I whisper into her ears and then bite her ears.

She shivers, "Hey!! Don't catch me off guard like that!!"

"It's your turn. I'm waiting."

"What!? I can't.. I mean... I.. I... Lo..."

I kiss her before she can finish the sentence.

"Sorry, I couldn't hear you. What was that?", I ask her.

"Don't...."

I kiss her again before she can finish.

"Hey!!"

Again.

"Let me...."

Again.

"Just...."

And again.

"I love you too!!!!", She screams so loud that my ear starts aching.

"Well done!!", I laugh.

"You meany!!", she puts her head on my chest.
