Even though Adaline didn't approve of Carla being close with a stranger, she can't possibly stop her from being friends with others.
Moreover, she actually wants her to be happy and carefree.
Adaline asked daniel "in which class you are, by the way, I have never seen you in any of my classes."
Daniel replied politely "Mam, I am in English class which you take last period usually in the morning. I am not in the same class as Carla but in a different class."
Adaline remembered and then said "ooh, yes I remember now, you usually sit in the third bench with a bunch of friends right..? What are you doing here with Carla..?"
She doesn't want to sound rude but remembering the bunch of friends she unknowingly raised her voice as if she is accusing him.
Daniel awkwardly rubbed his head not knowing what to say as a reply.
Even though he hangs out with that bunch of friends who don't have a single good impression from professors, he never involved himself in their things.
He felt he could have thought before when they all were persuading him to befriend with Carla.
It's not like he is complaining now but he genuinely thought Carla is a nice person.
Not knowing their original intentions, he agreed to their bet and tried to befriend her. It's better than being their punching bag isn't it..? he thought.
He thought to use thousands of reasons to move friendly with Carla but unexpectedly she easily accepted his approach.
Now he has to face this professor, in college no one knows the relation between Carla and Adaline. They only know Adaline as Carla's adoptive mother's best friend.
Even though Adaline never showed her love and care for Carla on the campus, today she is unable to restrain.
Carla smoothed the situation saying "professor, we are just going to the library for reading books. There is nothing much."
Carla helping him made daniel sigh with relief. He nodded his head saying "yes mam, there is nothing else. I was going to the library looking at Carla coming on the way I tagged along.
Adaline looked at both of them and was about to ask more questions but interrupted by a call. She waved her hand dismissing them looking at her phone.
Even Margery also got the call from Easton to inform that they will be late today as still some work is pending inside the building.
When he was talking on the phone she can clearly listen to the sounds of drilling and woodcutting.
Sighing to herself she said okay and disconnected the call. She coming out of her room called Adaline.
Adaline is also seen coming towards her from a far distance so disconnected the call and walked through the corridor to meet her.
Meeting with each other Margery asked her to come with her to meet the event management company they have decided to pick for organizing their party.
Here in royal packhouse of moonstone pack, William is seen going through each book in their library.
He clearly remembers that he had seen the red pendant before but unable to recall the place or situation.
When Jacob came into the library looking at his father, he felt his father unnecessarily wasting his time indulging in those useless books after all he didn't found out anything from those books.
The books are only references for their ancestors and the history of their royal family.
He tried to speak some sense into his father, but he dismissed asking him to manage the pack until he finds something.
Leon also felt irritated when he listened to those words while coming into the library.
He wanted to stop his father indulging any longer in that useless pendant but his brother stopped him.
Shaking his head he brought Leon out of the library seeking for their mother's help.
It's not like they can't manage the pack without their father's help.

They believed that pendant is useless and might be one of the female rogues who attacked them a month before. They went into the kitchen to complain about their father.
Their mother is seen preparing dinner for the pack along with the pack helpers. Not even looking at her sons she answered,
"Dinner will be ready at the usual time, you people don't worry."
Jacob ordered other helpers to leave the place until they were notified to come back. Nina who is making dough to prepare cookies lifter her head and looked at them.
Understanding their mother's gaze Leon replied "mother is father gone crazy, he is hell-bent on getting information about that stupid pendant leaving all the other work besides."
"Yes mother, you have to persuade him to stop his obsession with the pendant. It might be nothing, he is just wasting his time on that pendant."
Nina knows about her sons like the back of her hand. They won't make any speculations unless they are sure about it.
Cleaning her hands with a handkerchief beside the chair she is sitting, she stood up to follow them towards the library.
It didn't more than 15 minutes to reach the library. their library section had lots of books and her husband is seen in between the books sitting on the floor.
He is surrounded by all the books from all sides and is bent on his knees before a certain book.
The pages of the book itself told how old is the book. Only the turning sound of the pages can be heard across the room.
Nina asked them to go and tend to their works as she will take care of him from here. She slowly moved forward towards her husband and bent slightly tapping on his right shoulder.
He just smiled not even looking at her asking to sit down along with him. He asked her to pass the order to the helpers to prepare dinner by their own, Nina had not seen the pendant till now.
Rubbing his shoulders she sweetly asked him "Wil, what are you doing..? You are here from the time we came back meddling with these books.
Come on stop now, we can pass this to Luther and ask him to take care."
He shook his head and said "we can't keep all the burden on him now sweetheart, you know what's his condition right now don't you..? Besides, it's our son who found this pendant."
Nina smiled sweetly at her husband and said "alright since you want to dig more about this pendant, I will give a night time to find out.
If you didn't find anything, we are going to contact Luther and Margery."
For the first time since she came into the room he looked at her and patted on her head saying:
"You are the only one who can understand me well. keep me company as I look into them."
Nina standing up on her legs said "okay, let me go and pass the dinner instructions." William added, "aah, a cup of tea will do good for me, please bring it along with my dear wife."
She laughed nodding her head in yes gesture and left the library closing the doors slightly before leaving.
Carla and Daniel went to the library sighing to themselves. Carla smiled awkwardly and apologized to him about the earlier behavior of Adaline.
While walking towards the library they talked about which topic they should spend time today.
When Carla is immersed her self in talking with Daniel she failed to notice a bunch of students lurking behind the library waiting for them to enter into the library.
Confirming Carla's arrival into the library, one person signaled to the group outside of the nearest window where Carla is sitting now.
They knew Carla usually sits in this same place.
Daniel offered to bring the books while she can sit there and relax for some time. She waited and waited for more than 10 minutes.
Thinking he may not be able to find the books she wanted, she stood up to go and search for him.
Since it's the time for all the students to leave the campus for the day, there were fewer students in the library. the library teacher left before saying:
"Students before you leave inform the attendant to close the library. Don't stay longer than required, you can always come back or else take books to your home for reading."
Carla didn't pay much attention to the teacher as she regularly stays a long time before his uncle came as her mother used to take a longer time than the school hours.
Looking for Daniel here and there randomly she spoke "daniel, daniel where are you..?
Didn't you find the book I want..? The book is actually not in the farther section."
The remaining students started leaving the library as if they have received a sign.
When she turned around no one present in the library room. She thought to call him and went back to her chair.
She started searching for her mobile phone but didn't find it. She remembered that she had kept the phone in her bag. She started to feel uneasy as if something is going to happen.
Even though her sixth sense is asking her to leave the library right now, she doesn't want to leave Daniel alone here.
She started going more deeper into the library thinking he might still there in the library.
She suddenly heard library room doors closing behind her back.
Sensing the danger she ran as fast as she could to reach the door shouting to keep it open but the doors were already closed when she reached the door of the library room.
