"Yo, Luca wake up it's our turn to patrol," Kyo knocked on his door.
"5 more minutes," Luca mumbled.
"5 more minutes means another hour," Kyo opened the door.
Kyo kicked the door and went in pulling Luca's blanket off of him.
"What how'd ya get in?" he groaned.
"Keys exist for a reason," Kyo answered.
He went towards the windows and opened the curtains. Luka got up and walked to the bathroom.
"I'll be outside with the others when you're done, better not be taking your sweet time," Kyo shouted.
Luca got out of the bathroom and put on his clothes as fast as possible and went outside.
"The alpha is finally out of his den," Vance teased.
"Yeah, yeah," Luca rubbed his head.
"Okay we should start going," Cecil chimed in.
"Alright, let's get going," Luca agreed.
They were patrolling the area and made sure no one got into their territory especially rogues. Luca is the Alpha, Kyo is the Beta, Vance is the Gamma, and Ace and Cecil are guards. They all grew up together and were closer with each other than with the other people their age. All of them have their wolves and all but 3 of them had mates.
"So anything new that came up?" Luca asked.
"Not much," Ace answered.
"I heard there's a new girl that's transferring," Vance added.
"I wonder if she's human or another supernatural?" Kyo wondered.
"I'm pretty sure she is human," Cecil shrugged.
'I just hope we find our mate already,' Luca's wolf, Clyde sighed.
"Alright the next patrol group should be coming soon, we should start heading back," Luca clapped his hands.
They shifted into their wolves and headed back to the pack house. By then it was 7 AM when they all got ready and finished their breakfast. Luca and the others drove in two separate cars since they had to drive the girls too.
'Luca, today feels like it's going to be a good day I just know it," Clyde predicted.
In the car Luca, Kyo, and Vance talked about the random scents of rogues they have been sniffing outside the territory and somehow sometimes in their territory. They talked and talked until they got to school, when they got there class was going to start in 10 minutes. Luca smelled peaches and lemon, a good mixture of sweet-n-sour. The scent was addicting.
"Do you guys smell that?" Luca asked.
"What smell? Do you mean the mass amount of cologne and perfume used in the hallways?" Kyo questioned.
"You must be going crazy Luca," Vivian snickered.
"I'm serious, I smell peaches and lemons," Luca insisted.
"It's probably just you," Cecil said.
'Are we really the only ones smelling this incredible scent?' Clyde questioned.
'I guess so,' Luca answered.
They all went to their lockers although most of their lockers were in the same area. For their first hour all of them were together except for Vivian and the girls. Luca walked into the room again and smelled the same scent again. He thought he was going crazy until he turned to the teachers desk and saw a girl.
She was breath-taking, she was tall and had long black hair that reached just below her butt. Luca didn't care about appearances when it comes to people so no matter how his mate looked like he will still accept her. He never thought that his mate would be this beautiful.
'Mate! It's our mate Luca!' Claude shouted excitedly.
'We finally found her, our mate,' Luca smiled.
'Hey guys I found my mate!' Luca shouted in the mind link.
'Really! Who is she?' Kyo and the others asked.
'The new student,' Luca answered.
'I wish I could see her too,' Vivian complained.
'Congratulations Alpha Luca,' the other pack members chimed in.
'Congratulations even though I want to find mine too,' Kyo pouted.
'Class is gonna start, we can talk about this later,' Luca said.
The new student walked to the front of the class and introduced herself.
"Hello, my name is Alice Wang and I am 16 years old, I hope we all get along."
'Her voice is perfect and her name is beautiful,' Claude beamed.
The teacher was apart of the pack too, therefore she knew that Alice was their Luna and placed her seat by Luca. He was excited to meet her but also didn't want to come off creepy. He greeted her but she ignored him, so he kept glancing and staring at her until she turned around. When she turned around and asked him why he was staring at her his mind froze, he didn't know what to say so he made up a stupid excuse.
The class ended but Luca did not want to part with her, he knew that he was being clingy but he couldn't help it. Alice had this aura that felt like she was going at disappear at any moment. Luca met her again in the place where he and the others would sit at during lunch.
They all talked to Alice but she was closed off and only answered them when needed. Luca wanted to get closer to her and know more about her, however she stood up and said that lunch was almost done and left.
"Don't you think she closed off?" Sora asked.
"She seems mysterious," Kyo added.
They all nodded and agreed.
"I want to get to know her more but it seems like she's quite irritated when we approach her," Luca sighed.
"Her family situation is quite sad, she's living all by herself," Calliope pitied.
"Her story seems off," Vance added.
"Yeah," Luca agreed.
"Guys we should start heading back," Lola interrupted.
Luca felt dejected that he wouldn't have any classes with Alice for the rest of the day until he smelled her scent and saw her. They both had class together, he hoped he can at least get closer to her even if it would take a long time. What felt like he would get closer to her was interrupted by Cecil and Ace, Luca couldn't help but sigh and start running again after telling Alice that he'll talk to her later.
The 15 minutes was over and the teacher told them to pair up, he wanted to pair up with Alice but she had already paired up with Lola. Luca ended up pairing up with Ace and Cecil because of the uneven number of students. The class ended and like Luca predicted he didn't have any class with Alice for the rest of the day.
'Do you think I should ask the principal to change Alice's schedule?' Luca asked Claude.
'Well he will do it anyways because you are the Alpha and she is our Luna,' Claude answered.
'I wish we can spend more time with her,' Luca sighed.
Claude agreed.
Luca and the others got into their cars and headed home. When they got back home the pack congratulated Luca for finding his mate. The day went on with him doing paperwork and going over what the pack needs to do. It was tiring but Luca was used to it, his dad trained him for this.
He went to his room and took a shower, he couldn't help but think if Alice was sleeping right now. Luca went to his bed and try to fall asleep however he kept thinking about her, everything in his head was filled about Alice. Luca didn't get sleep until 3 AM.
