Jessus… where to start, my name is Audrey. I'm a stand out student. Straight A's, combat prowess almost unmatched. Ace up the sleeve for this school. And I hate it, because I can't be myself. I can do anything without trying, but I can't go anywhere without about a bajillion people following me. I can't be in an actual relationship with the people I like because it'll put them in danger, no one's interesting anyway. But this isn't an outlet for me to complain now is it? The first day of school isn't really a big deal anymore, i've been here for six years and it's always the same routine, until I felt a ping on my radar, usually first years aren't this strong but this was a big ping. So I went to investigate and saw a girl.
The bullies had picked her up and started to take the things they wanted. I took them out in a minute tops, I guess I've been out of practice over the summer, but I really despise this kinda work the street rats even do even if it's expected from them. I looked over to the girl, now seeing the malnourished body in front of me. White hair barely touching her shoulders, her pale skin looking as if she hadn't gone out into the sun in years. I touched her to try and wake her up, her skin was as soft as a butterfly wing, there were a few minor scrapes and bruises. I picked her up and took her to the nurse's office,Then went about my business.
There was a meeting of the royals today to discuss the next war so I had to get there quickly. I went to the field where the meeting was being held. "You're late…" pipe's up a voice. "Shut up Drex, no one set up the time, besides I had some rats to deal with" the meeting went ok, nothing was really discussed besides what happened over break, monster activity, among other things. The meeting dispersed and I was left wondering what to do.
I decide to head to the forest and hang out with the pack of wolf spirits that act as guard dogs for the campus. I walk through the forest and find a clearing, but the canopy hasn't been taken away… the trees are wonderful here. The air smells like pine needles and honey, I often come here to relax and be alone with my thoughts, the wolves make good company as they aren't really that mean. "She was so beautiful… like one of those princesses…" I was petting the wolves, and decided to start playing a song on my pan flute. I often find myself getting lost in my music, the notes… all of it makes me space out and forget that time itself exists. A couple hours later I decided to get back onto the campus. When I got back I bumped into Markus, one of the pompous royals who thinks he's above everyone just because his dad is one of the best hunters in the land and he trains him or something like that. He's so spoiled that he can't even fight. "Can you watch where you're going!? Stupid elf." he walks away, he always walks away… that racist bastard will get his due one day… As I continue to walk I have no further interruptions as I reach the elvish section of the hall, I enter my room, number 346. And lay down to go to sleep.
