Aya's POV
As I walked out into the dark, a cool breeze hit my cheek and it felt lovely. I could hear the insects in the grass as well; the music of the night had begun beneath just a slice of the moon.
The dinner and meeting everyone had been wonderful. They were incredible people, the Takeda's. Only a few key people were told who and what I am. You know what? They didn't care! They just accepted me as I was. For the first time in my life, I got to know what it's like to have a huge family around me. No disrespect meant toward my parents.
I was so lost in thought I didn't hear the sound of the feet that ran up on me, a body wrapoed in silks, knocked me to down onto my hands and knees. Just as I was about to get up, I was cracked over the back of my neck and skull with something so hard it knocked me out.
