Laying there at the foot of the bed for hours, I just let the tears fall where they may. Over the bridge of my nose to saturate the blanket beneath me. I was hurt.. I was angry.. My stomach growled, I was thirsty..
Not bothering to summon Livia for a decanter of blood, instead, I got dressed. It was a warm night, so I wore a beautiful pale pink silk, sleeved, flowing dress with a white veil held in place with mother-of-pearl matching hair combs. Out of habit, I picked up my sash, tying it on. Then picked up my swords and pushed them through over my left hip. Lastly, I looped around me a white stola with tiny gold scrolls on it, hoping to help hide the swords.
Without a backward glance, I run toward the balcony and jump over the railing, twisting in the air before landing on the ground with the grace of a cat.
