Aya's POV
My love was placed in the ground beneath the peat moss near a small hidden pond in the forest. I slept there in the moss above him, just to be close. I needed him so much. Back in the hut, I surrounded myself with his clothes just to catch his scent. Only time wears such things away..
The next several years were a blur. I buried myself in my work as a Guardian, but used the omnipresence very little. Instead, I was was fully there during the fighting, risking my life without a care.
The Swords Of Justice drank their fill of the blood of the guilty and so did I. Still, over so much time, their blades never dulled or chipped, nor did my fangs.
I watched as my son Nianzu got married to a young woman he would die for, and she loved him just as much.
The pack fell apart under four powerful lycans that claimed their own territories. Nianzu continued to lead, along with his new family, with twins, named Aya and Lok.
