Aya's POV
The more I looked at the boxes of clothing, the more it felt wrong. "Eni, I can't wear these. Until the Gods are no longer here, I cannot. I am still, a temple priestess. Forgive me. I really wanted to." he held onto me tighter while I rested my chin on his shoulder looking up at him.
He sighed heavily and nodded, though a warm smile spread across his face. "I kinda thought you might say that, so I also got you a plain white kimono, but with a special cloak to go with it." he gently let me go, and turned me toward the bathing room. "Now go wash up, and I'll find the right clothes for you."
Spinning around, I kissed him softly. "Thank you for everything. Your generosity is almost overwhelming. I-I really appreciate it." I know he caught the tremor in my voice as I almost said the words out loud. Like a coward, I turned and ran toward the bathing room.
