Aya's POV
Eni shut me up in the best way possible. I wanted his lips go linger there for eternity, but we still had to get going to Azuchi Castle. He held me tightly as if he were trying to protect me from the world. It felt so warm, secure and safe there in his arms.
I didn't want to move as we waited for the warmth to seep back into my "once-dead" limbs completely. The pain of it was excruciating. Though even once the circulation was there, Eni was not about to let me walk on my own. Oh, no.
He carried me over to the horses, and the wagon plus four guards. Carefully, he sat me across the beautiful chestnut horse, but high in the saddle. Tossing his leg across the saddle, Eni sat astride the horse like he was born to ride. Snaking his arm around my waist as he picked up the reins, then grinned down at me. Pulling me up closer against his body, he said, "Hang on!" kicking the horse into a gallop.. I held onto him for dear life..
