Sachilin smiled widely as she saw a dozen of people scattered around the receiving hall, doing their own things. But instead of the mansion appear crowded, it made the people inside it looking like little ants. That's how big the Main Household of Maslov's is.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked lovingly at them. Four years, that's how long they haven't gathered all together. Sachilin was forced to swallow her cries when her Aunt glanced.
It was Ruqin Lu-Maslov. A Chinese-French retired Lawyer. She's the beloved wife of Leon Maslov, Sano's Eldest Brother and the mother of Qino and Liro Maslov. The typical possesive wife and bitchy mom. Even though she might act nasty and speak like a Queen, Ruqin is a very warm and kind hearted person.
"Oh, my cute little niece is here." Ruqin smiled and stood up.
Sachilin raised her eyebrows calmly, which made her look so unpredictable. And yes, she badly missed them.
"Hey, lil sis." Liro greeted and kissed her cheek.
Sachilin stared at Qino, waiting for him to greet her, but he didn't even raised his head. She narrowed her eyes.
"Kuya (elder brother) Qino." She called.
He glanced and nodded at her. Sachilin crinkled her nose dangerously.
Her another Uncle, The second eldest, Kefin Maslov, cleared his throat, looking at his Son, Killan Maslov who's busy reading a book. When he didn't even budged, his mother, Kefin's wife, Selena Arosio-Maslov, slapped her son's hand.
Killan flinched and looked around. As his vision went to Sachilin, he immediately hopped at her, giving his little cousin a bear hug. "Lil rabbit, you're back."
Sachilin smiled sweetly and returned his hug. Qino and Liro froze when they saw her smile. Well, she never smiled that much at them?
"Ya, why are you smiling? You seldom grinned sweetly at us!" Qino finally spoke-- no, complained.
Sachilin give him calm but mocking expression. "You didn't even greet me. Why should I smile at you?" She answered.
Qino was speechless but Liro in the other hand, went near them and pushed Killan away to finally hug her.
"Oh, sis. You should smile often. You look cuter."
Sachilin hummed and nodded.
However, the peace was destroyed when a certain twins came out of nowhere. One with a dark green-dyed hair, Verton Maslov and the other in a natural brunnette, Noiru Maslov. Sachilin's twin older cousins. Their parents, Violet Floden-Maslov, and Sachilin's Third Uncle, Nisdon Maslov.
"Cousin/ Sister!" They both called her in unison. Looking so cheerful and cute, they pounced at Sachilin.
But don't be deceived by those outside masks. They're actually Martial Arts' Expert who works as Top Senior Undercovers.
Sachilin was shocked seeing them. She haven't seen them for two years in the current lifetime due to their dangerous work.
She immediately jumped at the both of them, earning a pair of genuine chuckles.
"Brothers!" She squealed like a little kid and hugged them tightly.
"I missed you two." She pouted after they put her down.
"Tsk. You need something, don't you?" Verton chuckled and messed with her hair.
Sachilin raised her eyebrows. "Partly. Well, I did miss you!" She whined.
The twin just rolled their eyes and talked about random things with her.
However, Aunt Ruqin clearly noticed something is off with Sachilin. The way she talk, hide her emotions, and spacing out with longing in her eyes. Ruqin was worried for her niece. She's the only Girl born within the current generation so she's likely to be spoiled. Well she is indeed pampered. Sachilin is just too mature for her age. And that's the reason why they kept the real her behind the Houshold walls. She's special. Too mature, talented, and almost.. Perfect. Well, not in love. Sachilin, she's too stupid in that department. If she's comfortable with someone, which is hard to come by, she will put a lot of her trust on that particular person and treat them nice.
Ruqin sighed. Selena , who heard her, stared intently at Sachilin and finally spoke.
"Are you okay, sweetie?" She asked.
Sachilin froze for a millisecond but quickly regained her composure. That even so, was witnessed by her own mother, Chiwel Ruby Tekin- Maslov. She was worried, of course. It's her only daughter.
"Of course, Aunt." Sachilin smirked as she stood up.
"I'll be at my office, running through some files." She went to the five older boys and kissed them at the forehead one-by-one.
All of them were obviously delighted.
As Sachilin went inside the Mansion's elevator, that's when her real emotion broke out. It was suffocating. So uncomfortable and can easily destroy someone with weak lifewill.
She knew there's still hidden CCTV's inside so she only took a very deep breath, forcing herself to calm down.
Stepping out at the 4th floor of modern mansion, her butler, Garry was already beside the elevator's door and patiently waiting for her.
Sachilin gave him a glance as she walked the way to her office.
Her office was located just beside her bedroom that's as big as an average house. She occupies the whole 4th floor and no one is allowed to go there without her permission. This rule was made by her parents who also followed it.
And it's not that you can easily go in, too. You can push any button in the elevator except for the fourth floor, basement and the sixth, which is the last floor level of the mansion.
Once you've pushed the following floor buttons that's not allowed by everyone to go into, an iris recognition will pop out and check you.
"The old man's info?" She asked him.
Garry nodded at the office' direction with a smile.
"Everything is settled. Every part of his life was provided, even the uneventful ones." He answered honestly.
Sachilin's eyebrows shot up with a look of appreciation written in her exquisitely beautiful face.
"Thanks, Kuya."
Garry's smile widened as he looked adorably at the lady whom genuinely cared and treated him like an older brother.
.
Sachilin's eyes narrowed while looking at a certain file with the old man's information. Her green eyes wandered at the letters, looking for flaws.
The lady's face darkened.
"Change the hacker who handled this." She commanded grimly.
'Hacker..?' Garry thought, confused. A little moment later, his eyes widened.
"That girl is a hacker?!"
Sachilin gave him a knowing glance as she wore her eyeglasses.
"Her sentence structure uses systematic grammars. Most private investigators applies direct and straightforward documentation."
She highlighted the part where the info 'obviously' shown her point while Garry was beside her looking.
He nodded.
"By the way," she swirled her swivel chair repeatedly in a childish manner. "Tell Mami Rainbow I will accept the 'Lightning Collection' for next month."
Garry turned his face to her, baffled.
"Didn't you said your schedule should be cleared out for next month?"
She shrugged and continued to swirl her chair.
"Too boring. So I gave it a thought and realized why don't I give Kazvin what he wants?"
He blinked. 'Kazvin..? Who is that?'
He thought.
"My husband, Kuya."
Garry's eyes widened.
"W-WHEN DID YOU GOT MARRIED?!" he asked like an overprotective brother he is, completely shocked.
Sachilin chuckled. "Oh scratch that-- my fiance, I mean."
"Sachilin.. Are you sure he's reliable? What if it's an another Aaron? New heartbreak?"
He asked worriedly as his hand rested on her head.
"I'm not inlove with him, yet. But I know he is nothing like Aaron. I am comfortable with him which never really happened before." She sighed and smiled genuinely at him, patting his arm.
"As long as he can always keep you safe and happy. That's the most important part, lil one." He ruffled her hair as he gave her an encouraging, warm smile.
Sachilin's heart warmed up.
'He really is the best butler.'
"You've been through a lot since childhood already, Sachilin. Others might see me as your highly Butler, but you're my little sister. It's my responsibility to protect you no matter what happens." He seriously said.
Sachilin sighed as she stood up and wandered around her big office.
"Older brother, I'm completely aware of that. It's just..." she paused looking at the huge painting hanging at wall. ", I can't dictate my destiny. I can only check if my decisions is right or appropriate with my situation."
"And that's why I am here, Lin. I'm your older brother, not by blood, yes. But, you know you can always count on me. Pretending to be your butler and asissting your business on the outside isn't the only thing I can do."
He sat on the couch and fussed through the magazines with Sachilin's front cover.
"Speaking of something you can do.." she smirked and sat on the opposite couch, infront of Garry.
"I do need you to do something for me," her face turned creepily calm as she crossed her hands on her chest.
"things that you excelled, kuya."
