The moment Edwin got out of the apartment with Arlo, the mortal immediately didn't care for himself, but started to look for his stepfather.
"My dad.. where is he? Where--"
"He's safe," Edwin interrupted him, his yellow light still surrounding him. "Now we have to get you far away from the master while his brother is distracting him."
Soon after, Edwin looked at his back. He saw Arvid who was slowly sitting up, wincing in pain as some of the shards of the glass went through him. Arlo's eyes widened in shock and at the same time, worried.
"Aagh..."
"A-Arvid!"
Arlo quickly went to him, kneeling down as he wasn't sure where to hold him, conscious of not wanting to hurt him.
"Are you alright?"
Arvid nodded while he was taking the shards out of his body with his hand.
"Yeah... just a scratch. This will heal after."
