*BAM! BAM! BAM!* Cassius and Hubris freezed as they heard these loud and sudden knocks to the door. [Hubris pov] *I guess it's time for him to experience the world and just maybe..* "Cassius go in the attack and take the old dark leather book from the bookshelf.. then.. jump out the window!". *Cassius had a shocked expression on his face*. "hurry up before its too late!"
He really didn't know what to do so head up the ladder and heard lots of movement and banging sounds in the firsy floor. Just when he found the book "aAAHHHHhh!!" It sounded like the voice of Hubris. *Shit, shit, shit, please dont be hurt gramps*. As Cassius made his way down the ladder and to Hubris, He saw Hubris covered in blood and somewhat alive still and above hubris.. oh god.. *ITS THAT KNIGHT I BUMPED INTO THE MARKETPLACE* Cassius was infuriated but he couldn't do anything against the knight so he got kicked in the abdomon. As the knight leaves he says, I will always be looking forward to our future duel in which you will die!*laughes maniacly*"He closed the door and left.
All this escalated so fast Cassius didn't know how to react at first. His wet eyes turned to tear drops, tear drops turned to crying the most he ever had. "Don't worry about me" as Hubris said this he patted Cassius on the back. "I have no regrets in life because you are my one and only son" "I was destined to die soon anyways because im getting old *he chucked*" "Cassius, dont ever forget these words; The sun will always rise, even in the darkest of times"... As Hubris said that he smiled and his life faded..
Cassius worked tirelessly digging a grave day and night for Hubris. The location of the grave is at the peak of the mountain, that is the place where Hubris and Cassius watched the sunset and relaxed. *8 years later* "The time has come, Cassius said as he grabbed Hubris' sword that he once wealded and put it in a sheath by his waist. Along with carrying a bag he took a few moments of silence while looking at the old cottage. Then he burned it down, and headed up the mountain peak where Hubris' grave laid.
"thank you for all you've done for me gramps".
He feels a familiar presence after saying that, and let out a grin on his face.
