Chapter 1 - Chapter One: The Unknown

I wasn't really a fan of huge crowds, whether there was a basketball game, or either fights in the halls or outside. My name is Kyle draque and I'm 17 years old. Just the usual. I was just a loner that never fits in with cliques or ordinary group of people and I have no friends, or any siblings. I'm the only child with two loving parents but I barely tell them anything because they might think I'm going bad again. I'm going to be a junior so it's going to be risky.

The day before starting a new year of school my mom wanted to get me new clothes, we went to the mall where I saw groups of friends having a good time or making trouble whatsoever. I slid on my hoodie and pulled on the strings tightly to where I could not be noticable, my mom on the other hand knew that I was embarrassed to even have to shop with her, she stopped walking but was staring straight, "Is there anything that I could do for you to have friends" she sighed after giving me a glance. "I don't want any. I dont believe in such nonsense that is supposedly called "friendship" it just upsets me more" I said, as I grabbed the bag of clothes and walked out the mall and straight to the car. My mom followed me back and we went home after that. The next day, I woke up with the alarm clock crying, opening my eyes with my heart beating so fast of being nervous. I then get up and get ready, going downstairs and my dad sitting at the kitchen table reading a magazine and biting into toasted bread, he looked up and took his glasses off as he set his magazine on the table, "Hey sport, how was your sleep" He asked. "Fine I guess, just stoked to even go to school and not home schooling, awesome to even face consequences that happen during school hours, huh." I sat down on the chair and shut my eyes, "I know its hard, but highschool you're going to create so much memories with the people you might eventually meet later on at school" My dad said as he started sipping his John Wayne coffee cup that my mother got him fifteen years ago during their anniversary, it's so vintage and I don't see why he kept such a thing that's not even worth using but it's my dad so I guess it gave him memories. Anyway, After the conversation I went out the door, putting my helmet on and started riding my bike to school. I usually stop by the cafe restaurant called "Kyle's wonderful mystery drink" which is weird because it's my name they're using. I just went by and then just a few miles, I saw the pole of the united states flag blowing within the soft wind.

I arrived at the "KHS" which is just three words so it's easy to remember, I then tied my bike to the bike rack and smelt "the first day of school air" and i don't like the smell or feeling of it at all, it's like smelling a dead animal that is two steps ahead if you and just can't bare to even walk any further. I stepped into the building with my stomach feeling nauseous, moreover, i ended up in my classroom that I sat near the window. First bell rang and I exhaled and started to feel shaky, the teacher started introducing himself and saying where hes from. he started calling out our name, " Kyle Draque? " The teacher said while about to mark me as absent, "Here...." my voice cracked. Mr. Ho-Kim chuckled and then nodded. The second bell rang, then the third and so on and so forth. School was finally over and I had to do my part time shifts. I work at the Korean Bbq restaurant so called, "Sizzle" and I've been working there ever since my freshman year. My shift ended and I walked home instead of riding my bike, I blew out a sigh and started kicking the little rocks that were in my way, I got home and started on my homework. I parted my hair down feeling dumb. I went to bed but couldn't sleep, so I went downstairs and tiptoed to the kitchen, opening the medicine cabinet and took my father's prescription pill, took two sleeping pills and went back up to my room. I felt like a total hippie but it was worth it. Finally I started feeling tired and went to sleep. The Next Day, The Second Day.
