When I hear snarls and branches breaking, I look away from the woman. Thane... I glance back down at the woman before huffing. Screw it. As I lean up to walk away, the woman's hand snakes out and grabs my jacket.
She grips my jacket with desperation, causing me to pause. She struggles to shake her head no while gritting out "Not you..." I reach up and grab her hand before struggling to pry her fingers off me. Suddenly, a body comes flying past us before rolling to a stop several feet away.
Thane comes strolling over behind him with his teeth bared and his chest exposed. The shallow cuts on his muscled chest were already healing as he comes to a stop, rolling his shoulders.
