I give him an awkward smile and try to ignore the way all the males were currently looking at me. I don't even bother pulling myself out of Thane's arms as I try to regroup my thoughts. Just as I go to speak, the male speaks up again "It would be an honor to help rebuild the pure bloodline. It would be an honor to all of us."
It's only now, do I realize what's happening. They're wanting to continue the bloodline and by any means. In a way... it's animalistic... it's survival. If I allowed it, they would all 'mate' with me in hopes of impregnating me and continuing the bloodline.
This has nothing to do with attraction or love... it's simply recreating and 'sowing' their seed. All my embarrassment flies out the door as I nod and say "While I appreciate that, now's not the time for children. This world is not the world you're kind comes from and if you hadn't noticed... there's a war on the horizon."
