FLASHBACK
Lewis pats the flash drive in his pocket as he quickly makes his way down the hall. Sweat drips down his bareback but he ignores all the strange looks and whispers as he heads straight for the front doors.
He knows without a doubt that Silas will kill him so he doesn't stop. As soon as he steps over the front steps, he bolts for the woods. He runs like the devil himself was nipping at his heels. He thought about taking a vehicle from the base but they're all equipped with tracking.
If he had any chances of survival, it would be on foot but even he knows that his chances are slim. As soon as Silas finds out, he'll be on his trail. Silas will be able to track him down faster than a bloodhound!
His legs cramp up and his side starts to ache but he continues to push himself further and further. He's going to die.. he just knows it. He glances up to the night sky, hoping to see a shooting star. If he could find one, he'd have hope.
