As I reach the door, I crawl over the door frame as someone comes running in and steps on my hand. I go to cry out but my voice is gone. The guy turns and says "Shit! I'm sorry, you okay?" I struggle to lift my hand to wave him off and keep my head down as I nod.
He frowns at me in confusion but when Kalen and Silas go through a wall, he turns and runs off towards them. I release a sigh of relief and start crawling again. Hopefully, he just thinks I'm someone crawling away from the fight in fear.
When I feel the dirt under my hands, I almost cry. Almost. I keep going. Ignoring the way I'm leaving a blood trail from my cuts. I don't know what I expect from this halfbaked escape plan but so far it's working.
Suddenly, something lands in front of me! I suck in but when I see the familiar monkey, I really do break down in tears. CheeChee pulls my arm, urging me to hurry so that's exactly what I do. I don't know how much time I have but I should really thank Kalen later if he survives.
