-Continuation of Chen's POV-
Chen stood in shock for a second before regaining his senses and cleared his throat to speak
"Ms. Zhang, to what pleasure do I have to see you in the lounge area of my office?" Chen said in his normal aloof cold tone although if one was close to him they would be shocked that his face seemed less intimidating and cold while talking with Min
"Hmm CEO Tang, I have come for the documents to give to Zhang Conglomerate" Min replied with a neutral face
"Oh, come to my office, it's in my drawer" Chen replied, not understanding why he felt a little sad that she didn't come to see him
They both walked to his cabin which occupied ⅓ of the whole floor including his private room that was like a studio apartment.
Once they reached his office, he opened the door for both of them and went ahead of Min to go to his desk
After getting to his desk, he opened the top left hand drawer of his desk to give to Min but last minute he stopped
Turning around, he faced Min who was in front of his desk waiting and said "sit down first, I want to discuss something with you" although he wasn't sure why he wanted her to stay longer but in the near future with his high EQ he will soon find out…
"Oh ok, but please Sir I hope you can make it quick, I need to arrive in time for the appointment made with Sir Zhang" Min replied while somewhat cringing but only an experienced eye like Chen could tell and he guessed that the words 'Mr. Zhang' probably caused her to do so
"Hm that's fine. I just want to ask some questions" Chen said quickly thinking about what to ask her so she would not get suspicious
Min just nodded calmly as a signal that she will listen
"Let's both sit on the sofas, shall we?" Chen said
Min nodded and both moved to the sofas and sat down with Min sitting on the double seater sofa with a glass table in front, this setup is right besides the floor to ceiling windows, with Chen sitting on the single seater in front of her
"What is your relation to President Zhang?" Chen raised an eyebrow, asking the first question that came into his mind
Min did not get shaken because she knew due to this man's IQ there was no way he did not expect anything, especially when she knew her father and herself had similar facial features, same surname, and he even went to visit her office which would not go unnoticed by the man who would pay close attention once he is suspicious about something
Min replied back in a neutral tone with her professional aloof face, "he is a...relative of mine"
Chen nodded to say he understood but he had heard her hesitation clearly and narrowed his eyes a bit wondering 'if he is only a mere relative and she was only from a side branch, why would he personally want her as the representative as a condition and visit her? Unless she is a niece or… his daughter?!" his eyes widen at his thought but went back to normal thinking, 'hm it would not be to big of a surprise, the last photo out of the Zhang heiress was when she was 18 and the grand party was held'
Chen continued saying. "Make sure everything goes well and do not let anything or anyone get in the way of making this deal become smooth"
Min nodded and said, "do not worry President, everything shall go well" 'I am the Zhang heiress after all… but he doesn't need to know that"
Min looked at her wristwatch (A/N: it was put on when she arrived at her office) Chen narrowed his eyes seeing her glance at her wristwatch and asked himself, 'does she want to leave me that bad?' for some reason, when he thought that, his heart clenched and he wanted to stop her from leaving but not knowing why, he suppressed that feeling
Chen asked, "do you need to go? You have been looking at your watch multiple times"
Min replied, "ah yes. The appointment set to go to Mr. Zhang is at 11:20 am and it is currently 10 am"
Chen made a little 'o' shape with his mouth then closed his mouth the next second and said, "I see, I will grab the documents and then you can go to Zhang Conglomerate"
Min nodded as a response but instead of feeling disrespected, he found her interesting instead
He stood up, walked over to his desk, opened a drawer, and took out the necessary documents needed
After getting the documents, he walked back to Min, and handed over it to her
Min stood up, received the documents, and said, "thank you CEO Tang. I will get going now"
Chen nodded while thinking, 'how nice would it be to hear my name come out of her mouth...wait what am I thinking?!' He was confused at his thoughts but later waved them off
Both walked to the front door of his office and Min walked away to the elevator to go to Zhang Conglomerate with Chen standing at the doorway of his office staring at Min till she was out of his sight
Sighing, Chen returned to his desk and tried to do work but could not continue as he was thinking about Min the whole time
His subconscious was saying 'man, you fell hard for the lady' but he thought 'that is not possible, I only started talking with her that day at the meeting and today how can I possibly fall for her?!' and tried to distracted himself (failing miserably at that) by going through his pile of work with his subconscious that kept telling him he fell for Min while he was denying
